Validis Accounts Review Module:

The Accounts Review Module is a simple to use tool for validating your client’s accounts information before you import it into CCH Accounts Production.

By running the Validis Accounts Review Module when you extract your client’s data from Sage, MYOB, Mamut, TAS or Quickbooks, you can quickly identify errors in your client’s accounts, save yourself valuable time later in the preparation process, enhance service and reduce your risks of doing business in a demanding economic and regulatory environment.

The module runs a series of “Health Checks” before you upload book-keeping data in to CCH Accounts Production, carrying out checks on:

• Transactions that conflict with standard accounting ‘rules’; for example, credit entries in an expense account or liabilities with a debit balance;
• Trends in monthly account activity and those months where a trend has been broken; for example, unusually high sales in a particular month;
• Individual transactions that are exceptionally high in value versus others in the same account; for example, a rent expense of £1,200, when rent is normally £850 per month;
• Unusual relationships between transactions (such as a purchase invoice posted to a wrong account) or data fields in the same transaction, for example journal entries with the wrong VAT code.
